What is Graphic Design?

Graphic design is a term used to refer to different professional and artistic disciplines in the field of presentation and visual communication. Different methods are used in this area through the combination of symbols, words, and images in order to produce a visual representation of some messages or ideas. The idea of branding, also called as corporate identity, has become significant to industries like advertising because it provides a certain distinctiveness that helps a lot in a company’s popularity with regards to their services and products. Even though the two terms can be used interchangeably, branding is more focused in creating a mark that will act as a trade name for a product. Corporate identity, on the other hand, applies to more venues because it shows the structure or ethos of the company as well as its external images.

Skills needed in making Graphic Designs

The basic skills needed to create a graphic design are visual arts, typography, and page layout. Graphic elements are needed to be created based from rules of visual arts.
